A new VIP lounge at the Ovo Hydro has been launched with ticket holders able to grab a seat in it via their Sky contract.
The Sky VIP lounge officially opened at the weekend and is one of a number of similar lounges throughout the UK at places such as Leeds first direct arena, Utilita Arena Birmingham, Ovo Arena Wembley, the SSE Arena Belfast and Co-Op Live in Manchester.
More than 100,000 Sky customers have already used the lounges so far and tickets are available to customers if they want an upgrade from their bought seat.
Described as bring ‘VIP access and star treatment closer to home’, Sky customers who already have a ticket to any show at the Hydro can sign up on the MySky app to visit the lounge on a first-come, first-served basis.
Ross Easton, the head of commercial at OVO Hydro, believes it’s an opportunity for guests to have an unparalleled experience.
He said: “We're delighted to introduce the Sky VIP Lounge to the OVO Hydro. Sky’s creation of a unique, cutting-edge space within our venue, highlights our shared values of innovation and excellence.
“This addition not only reinforces our ongoing investment in world-class facilities but also promises an unparalleled experience for our guests, further cementing the OVO Hydro’s status as a leading destination for entertainment."
The lounge has a number of benefits including a dedicated entrance and check-in, as well as a private area to relax with food and drinks away from the crowd while merchandise is also available.
Helen Kloepfer, director of Sky VIP, said: “We’re thrilled to announce the new Sky VIP lounge at OVO Hydro, as part of the roll-out of the lounges at some of the biggest and best live entertainment venues across the UK. We look forward to welcoming Sky customers to the Sky VIP lounge to enjoy the VIP treatment.”
