A man has appeared in court charged under the Firearms Act following an incident with a 'suspect' device.
Residents of Overtoun Court in Clydebank were evacuated on Monday, October 28 after the item was discovered by police who were carrying out searches in an 'ongoing investigation'.
A 26-year-old man was later arrested and charged in connection with an alleged firearms offence.
Christopher Gates has since appeared at Dumbarton Sheriff Court charged under the Firearms Act 1968 section 1B.
He entered no plea and was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.
Gates is set to appear again in court in the next eight days.
