Several people have been rushed to hospital after a multi-vehicle crash on a busy motorway.
Police were called to reports of a five-vehicle collision on the M74 at Junction 7 near Raith Interchange on Thursday, October 31.
The force was alerted to the incident shortly before 9am.

Emergency services, including police and medics, raced to the scene. After that, multiple people were taken to hospital.
Due to the crash, Traffic Scotland has said two lanes of the motorway's northbound carriageway at Junction 5 (Raith Interchange) are currently restricted.
Motorists are being urged to approach the area with caution.
The road firm is also warning drivers to expect delays of around 40 minutes.
Meanwhile, emergency services crews, including police officers, firefighters, and medics, have been pictured at the scene of the incident.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Around 8.40am on Thursday, October 31, 2024, we were called to reports of a five-vehicle collision on the M74 at Junction 7, near Raith Interchange.
"Emergency services attended and several people were taken to hospital as a precaution.
"Recovery was arranged."
