A motorcyclist has been left seriously injured after a crash on a busy road.
Police were called to the collision on Stevenston Street in Holytown, North Lanarkshire, on Wednesday, October 30.
The force was alerted to the incident shortly after 5.30pm. Officers say it involved a black, orange, and white motorcycle and a pedestrian.
After racing to the scene, a 29-year-old man, the motorcyclist, was taken to Wishaw General Hospital.
Medics have since described his condition as being serious.
Meanwhile, an 18-year-old boy, who was the pedestrian, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.
Following the incident, the road was shut for around six hours while investigations were carried out.
Now, road cops probing the crash are urging anyone with information on it to come forward.

Sergeant Chris McColm said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact us.
“We are also appealing to anyone driving in the area at the time with dashcam footage to come forward.”
A spokesperson for Police Scotland added: "Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 2945 of October 30, 2024."
