A new Paesano venue could open in place of a former Italian restaurant.
Planning permission is being sought by the Glasgow pizza chain to take over the building which used to house Di Maggio's in Shawlands.
The bid is to place signs on the Southside site, at 1040 Pollokshaws Road.
In June, the owner of the Di Maggio’s, DRG, bought the city’s two Paesano Pizza restaurants for what was understood to be an eight-figure sum.
Then, the hospitality giant also announced plans to expand both brands.
Now, the firm is making a move to open a third Paesano eatery.
The site will have the classic logo.

The current venues are on Miller Street and Great Western Road and serve traditional Neapolitan pizza.
DRG, owned by Mario Gizzi and Tony Conetta, also run Di Maggio’s, Café Andaluz, and Amarone.
The planning application is being reviewed by Glasgow City Council officials and a decision is expected by Tuesday, December 17.
