Police have closed a busy road in Rutherglen after a person has been hit by a car.
Officers received a report of a crash involving a car and a pedestrian on Main Street in the town shortly after 4pm on Tuesday, November 5.
Emergency services are currently in attendance at the incident.

Due to the collision, the force has said Main Street is shut between McCallum Avenue and Hamilton Road.
Meanwhile, cops are urging drivers to 'avoid the area'.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Around 4.10pm on Tuesday, November 5, we received a report of a crash involving a car and a pedestrian on Main Street, Rutherglen.
"Emergency services are in attendance and Main Street is closed between McCallum Avenue and Hamilton Road.
"Drivers are asked to avoid the area."
