A 15-year-old boy has been rushed to hospital after an incident on a busy main road.
Main Street in Rutherglen was closed by cops for around four hours on Tuesday, November 5 after a pedestrian was hit by a car.
We reported that the closure was implemented at around 4pm and the public was being urged to avoid the area.
Emergency services raced to the scene and transported a 15-year-old youth to the Royal Hospital for children.
A 58-year-old man has been arrested in connection and an investigation is continuing.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Main Street, Rutherglen, has reopened following a crash involving a car and a pedestrian.
"The crash was reported around 4.10pm on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
"Emergency services attended and a 15-year-old male youth was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children.
"A 58-year-old man has been arrested in connection and enquiries are ongoing."
