Police were called to a 'serious' incident on Glasgow street.

Reports on social media told of an emergency services presence on Nether Auldhouse Road in the city's Southside on Wednesday evening. 

One person said it appeared to be a 'serious incident' and that part of the road had been taped off near flats.

Another said there was 'loads of police' and an ambulance on the scene when they passed by.

The force confirmed that they had been called to a report of an assault in the area at around 8pm.

A 35-year-old man was rushed to hospital to be treated for his injuries.

Cops are investigating the incident. 

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8pm on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, we were called to a report of an assault on Nether Auldhouse Road in Glasgow. 

“Emergency services attended and a 35-year-old man was taken to hospital. 

"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.” 

The Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 19:54 on Wednesday, November 6 to attend an incident on Nether Auldhouse Road, Glasgow.

"We dispatched one ambulance, two paramedic response units (PRU), and a critical care paramedic (CCP) to the scene.

"One patient was transported to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow.”
