The next phase of plans for a new 600-home community in Glasgow have been submitted.
Bigg Regeneration, a joint venture between developer igloo and Scottish Canals, has submitted the next phase of plans for the development of Dundashill in the Port Dundas area of the city.
The next phase of 88 homes, consisting of a mix of one and two-bed apartments, two and three-bed duplex lofts, and three and four-bedroom townhouses, will feature roof terraces overlooking the city.
The project is part of a larger masterplan that includes 90 Passivhaus flats and 78 townhouses.
All homes are low energy and rated EPC 'A'.
They benefit from features such as air source heat pumps and EV charging points.
The community will also will benefit from green spaces delivering more than 30 per cent in biodiversity net gain, designed by Rankin Fraser.
The first buyers at Dundashill moved into the Maltings Wynd phase earlier in 2024.
The development has been awarded the Building with Nature accreditation and is expecting a four-star rating from the Home Quality Mark.
Gary Watt, development director at igloo, said: "We’re delighted to bring forward the planning application for the next phase of Dundashill.
"Having welcomed our first buyers into their new homes earlier this year, we’ve seen firsthand the benefits of creating healthy neighbourhoods where people can live and work, as we continue to build a thriving community in Glasgow.
"Dundashill is fast making a name for itself as a new community in the city, offering climate resilient living on Glasgow’s canal, with a rich mix of culture, sports and urban nature right on the doorstep.
"We’re proud to work alongside our partners to reimagine what it means to live sustainably, healthily and happily in Scotland."
Construction on phase three of Dundashill is expected to start in summer 2025.
