A MAN is to stand trial charged with the violent rape of two women.
James Clacher, 56, is accused of carrying out the attacks in 2019 and 2020.
The first is said to have occurred in Troon, South Ayrshire.
The accusation includes claims this woman was pushed onto a bed and pinned down.
The second sex attack is alleged to have happened near Glasgow's Gorbals area.
This woman is also said to have been pinned down and, among the other accusations on the charge, is that Clacher struggled and shouted at her.
The case called for a hearing at the High Court in Glasgow today where his lawyer Janice Green pleaded not guilty on his behalf.
Lady Drummond went on to set a trial due to begin in August 2025.
The case could last around seven days.
