A woman is in hospital after a 'life-threatening' incident in Glasgow.
The 65-year-old was riding in her mobility scooter on Saturday afternoon when she was hit by a white Renault Trafic van.
This occurred on Cumberland Street in the city's Gorbals at around 2.30pm.
Emergency services descended on the scene and the woman was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
She is said to be battling 'life-threatening' injuries.
No one else was injured.
The road was closed and re-opened around 6.30pm, with detectives now investigating what happened.
They are urging anyone who witnessed the collision to get in touch.
Sergeant Adnan Alam said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are appealing with anyone who saw what happened to come forward.
“In addition, if anyone who was in the area at the time and has dash-cam footage that could assist with our investigation then please get in touch.”
