Lorraine Kelly has shared the special moment her granddaughter visited Scotland for the first time.

The Glasgow-born presenter and her daughter, Rosie Kelly Smith, visited Cromlix Hotel in Stirlingshire over the weekend.

Announcing their visit to the plush hotel, the ITV chat show host said it was her grandchild baby Billie's first time visiting Scotland since she was born in August.

Rosie, who is Lorraine's only daughter with her husband Steve Smith, had Billie with her fiance Steve White, whom she became engaged to in June, two months after revealing she was pregnant.

Following their special trip, Lorraine shared several pictures of the youngster's first visit to the country.

In the pictures, Lorraine can be seen looking happy next to her daughter who is holding wee Billie.

The 64-year-old also revealed the youngster attended her first Dundee United game as well during their visit.

In the post, Lorraine said: "Baby Billie's first time in Scotland - we stayed at [the] fabulous Cromlix Hotel and she was so happy there she slept through the night for the first time! 

"Such a lovely place to stay - so comfortable and relaxing. Incredible food and hospitality. 

"Thanks to all the team for looking after us. Billie is wearing her Dundee United Football Club baby grow because she went to her first game - [the] team obviously wanted to impress her as we won three nil!"

Meanwhile, in a social media post, Rosie said: "The dreamiest weekend for Billie's first trip to Scotland.

"So nervous about travelling with her but she was an absolute angel and even slept through the night for the first time so we're thinking we might have to move into Cromlix Hotel - we've kept saying everything is temporary when things have been rough so very aware this may have been a one-off and the same saying goes for when things go right!

"All topped off with meeting Auntie Naomi, Auntie Amber, Uncle Matt, and her and her dad's first Dundee United game - and a win."
