A 'beloved' local hotel is reopening this week to celebrate its 80th anniversary.
The Tudor Hotel in Airdrie has been taken over by Mohan Singh Aujila, who hopes to continue the venue's legacy in the town.
It has been given a complete makeover with fresh interiors, updated décor and enhanced facilities.

The function rooms and restaurant have been redesigned with a new layout and the kitchens now feature state-of-the-art equipment to cater for 170 people and serve a dynamic new menu.
All existing employees remain at the 20-bedroom hotel and the team is being expanded by up to 20 jobs across the hotel, reception and dining areas.
Mohan said: “The Tudor is a beloved local landmark, well-known for hosting events - and we are thrilled to be taking over its management during this milestone year.
"We’ve expanded our menu offering to include Italian, Scottish and Indian dishes, along with a new full range of Cremco fish and chips.
"All our food is locally sourced and freshly prepared on-site and we’ve introduced lunch specials and pre-theatre menus.
"Plus, our Christmas menu promises to delight guests throughout the festive season."

In addition to the restaurant, two separate on-site function rooms and Harry’s Bar are currently being redecorated.
A soft launch opening event is being held on November 14 where members of the public will have the opportunity to experience the newly refurbished venue first-hand.
Mohan added: “Taking on the Tudor is an exciting step and we are committed to ensuring its legacy continues.
"We’re also proud to retain all the hotel’s existing staff, who are an integral part of the business. In addition, we are creating up to 20 new jobs across the hotel, further expanding our team to meet the growing demand for our enhanced services."
