Emergency services were called to a primary school today after a child was injured.
It is understood that police responded to a 'medical matter' at Giffnock Primary School on Thursday afternoon.
East Renfrewshire Council, the local authority which represents the school, says the youngster was 'injured' and 999 crews were alrted.
They added that they will work with the school to provide support needed.
An East Renfrewshire Council spokesperson said: “A child was injured at Giffnock Primary this afternoon and emergency services were called.
"Following this incident, the council will continue to work closely with the school to provide necessary support.”
