A popular singer is heading to Glasgow for a special show next year. 

Elkie Brooks, best known for her big hit Pearl's A Singer, will be coming to the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on May 29.

(Image: Image of Elkie Brooks by Kev Nicholson) The show comes as part of her Long Farewell Tour - which will celebrate her six decades in music.

The singer will be performing some of her biggest hits with her live band, as well as material from her forthcoming twenty-first studio album.

The new album, Live And Acoustic, was recorded in 2021 at the Landmark Theatre in North Devon.

Speaking on the live show and record, Elkie said: "The pandemic closed the doors to our theatres and music halls. To be back onstage, to sing to people, to see faces, hear applause and to share this space is truly humbling. I will forever cherish this evening.”
