One of the members of a beloved Irish family band is 'unable' to perform at their Glasgow gig tonight.

The Corrs are set to take the stage at the city's OVO Hydro shortly after 7.30pm on Sunday, November 17.

However, ahead of the concert, the venue has revealed due to 'unforeseen circumstances', Sharon Corr, who is part of the band, is 'unable' to perform.

Announcing the news on social media, the Hydro said the event will still proceed as scheduled, with a full and exciting show planned.

The Corrs is made up of Sharon, Andrea Corr, Caroline Corr, and Jim Corr.

The group are known for combining pop rock with traditional Irish themes in their music.

Since forming in 1990, they have released multiple albums and several singles.

Their tunes include hits such as Breathless, Runaway, What Can I Do, All the Love in the World, So Young, and many more.

In the post, the OVO Hydro said: "Important update from The Corrs about tonight's show.

"Due to unforeseen circumstances, Sharon Corr is unable to perform this evening.

"However, the event will proceed as scheduled, with a full and exciting show planned.

"Thank you for your understanding."
