A popular restaurant is re-opening at a Glasgow shopping centre.

KFC will open at its former unit at St Enoch Centre on Tuesday, November 26.

Known for its fried chicken, the restaurant previously shut its space at the shopping centre's food court - which also houses McDonald's, Burger King, Blue Lagoon and more.

George Reader, centre director at St Enoch Centre, said: “We are delighted to see the return of KFC to St. Enoch Centre.

"The addition of this iconic brand reinforces St. Enoch Centre's reputation as one of Glasgow's leading dining destinations."

It comes after we reported that another new opening at the centre, Japanese retailer UNIQLO, has been described as marking a 'major win' for the city centre.

The 22,500-square-foot store will be located in the St Enoch Centre on Argyle Street and comprises a large retail unit spread across two adjacent buildings.

Richard Muir, Deputy Chief Executive for Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, said: "Glasgow is a dynamic, attractive destination for leading retail and leisure brands. The arrival of Uniqlo marks a major win for the city centre, reinforcing Glasgow’s appeal to global retailers and underscoring its reputation as a key shopping hub in the UK.

“This addition will not only strengthen the city’s retail offer but will also improve the local economy by creating jobs, increasing footfall and consumer spending, and supporting other businesses. We look forward to learning more about the plans to open the new store."
