A busy road in South Lanarkshire has been closed due to an ongoing emergency incident.
South Lanarkshire Council said the A71 Ayr Road has been shut at Garrion Bridge due to an accident this morning (7.30am, Tuesday, November 26).
The bridge is located between Larkhall in South Lanarkshire and Wishaw in North Lanarkshire.

It is unknown if anyone has been injured during the collision.

A spokesperson for the council said: "The A71 Ayr Road has been closed at Garrion Bridge due to an accident.
"Local diversions are in place."
