A THUG who brutally knocked her victim unconscious amid a money dispute was jailed today for 32 months.
Sarah Latimer pounced on Katrina Blair at a property in Glasgow's Govan on March 1, 2024.
The 42-year-old attacker went on to stamp on Miss Blair's head while she was knocked out.
A court heard that Latimer hit Miss Blair a total of 25 times during the callous assault.
Latimer pled guilty today to assaulting Miss Blair to her injury and danger of life.
The High Court in Glasgow was told that the pair had earlier "engaged in an argument over money."
Two witnesses attempted to calm the situation down and separate them.
Prosecutor Vish Kathuria said: "Latimer grabbed hold of Miss Blair and repeatedly punched her to the face, causing her to fall to the floor."
Latimer leaned over Miss Blair and she continued to strike her.
Mr Kathuria added: "Latimer kicked her repeatedly to the head and Miss Blair tried to sit up as she did this.
"Latimer repeatedly kicked her on the head and body which caused her to become unconscious.
"While unconscious, Latimer forcefully stamped and kicked as well as attempted to stamp on her head and body."
The advocate depute stated that there were 12 punches, 10 kicks, three stamps and two attempted stamps during the attack.
It was said that it was the ninth kick which knocked Miss Blair unconscious.
Mr Kathuria told the court that the victim suffered from headaches and was treated by a GP.
She also sustained a wound to her head as well as a swollen eye socket and bruising.
Miss Blair's mental health is stated to have worsened and she feels paranoid as well as fearful.
Euan Dow, defending, told the court that the victim was "subjected to a frightening incident."
It was revealed that Latimer was jailed for 22 months in 2013 for an assault and robbery.
She was also locked up for 16 months in 2020 for brandishing a needle at a woman and robbing her.
Judge Douglas Brown said of the latest matter: "This was a very serious crime and the only appropriate sentence is custody."
