Cops are becoming 'extremely concerned' for an elderly Glasgow man who has vanished.

Alexander Marshall was reported missing from the Novar Drive area in the West End at around 9.40am on Wednesday, November 27.

Police say enquiries have so far established the 75-year-old was last seen on CCTV at Argyle Steet Station in the city centre at around 12.25pm the same day.

The pensioner is described as being around 5ft 8inch tall, of slim build, with short grey/white hair and a beard.

He was last seen wearing a grey jumper, brown gilet, blue jacket, blue jeans, brown shoes, and a black hat.

Anyone with information on Alexander's whereabouts is being urged to contact police.

Sergeant Aimee Hunter said: “We are extremely concerned for Alexander’s wellbeing.

"Searches and enquiries are ongoing to trace him as soon as possible to ensure that he is safe and well.

“We urge anyone who has seen Alexander or who has any information regarding his whereabouts to contact 101 quoting reference number 1101 of November 27.”
