UPDATE: The council has reopened the tunnel for now (8.06am, Wednesday, November 28) but it will require a damage check later today.
Glasgow's Clyde Tunnel has been closed due to an ongoing incident.
Glasgow City Council said an over-height vehicle entered the tunnel's northbound section and damaged the lighting this morning (Thursday, November 28).
Due to the situation, the tunnel has been shut northbound and will remain closed until the damage can be assessed and it is safe for other motors to enter it.

It is unknown when it will reopen. However, drivers are being urged to follow the police diversion which has been set up.
A spokesperson for the council said: "An overheight vehicle has entered the northbound Clyde Tunnel and damaged the lighting.
"The tunnel is closed northbound and will remain closed until the damage can be assessed and it is safe for vehicles to enter the tunnel."
