Shoppers have been left devastated after an independent store in Newton Mearns announced its closure.
Just Because, which is located in The Avenue Shopping Centre in the East Renfrewshire town, revealed the sad news on social media.
In the post, the owners of the local shop said they would be closing their doors on Friday, January 24, 2025.
Bosses of the gift shop revealed they are 'deeply saddened' to announce the closure, however, they said it is due to 'reasons outwith' their control.

Following the announcement, the store thanked all its 'amazing customers and associate members' for their help.
However, the owners said it 'isn't the end' but 'just a new chapter' and urged shoppers to 'watch this space'.
In the Facebook post, the store said: "Important announcement.
"Thank you for your support to Just Because. We've all worked incredibly hard and are deeply saddened to tell you that we will be closing the doors on Friday, January 24, 2025.
"These are due to reasons outwith our control.
"We could not have done this without our amazing customers, associate members, and pop-up business.
"Whilst disappointing, please be assured, this isn't the end, just a new chapter. Watch this space."
Punters of the store flocked to the comments of the post to share their devastation about the news.
One cried: "Oh what a shame. Love your shop and all the lovely things. Good luck to you all."
Another chimed: "What, no way. I'm devastated for you all."
A third said: "Oh no. So sorry to hear this."
A fourth added: "So sorry to hear this.
"My daughter and I loved coming in for a wee browse (and she pretty much always talked me into getting her something)!"
Meanwhile, another gutted customer said: "My god guys. I can't believe this is happening."
