A 'police incident' forced the closure of a major Glasgow road last night.
The Gallowgate was shut westbound at the Clyde Gateway on Saturday evening.
Glasgow City Council's roads department issued a bulletin informing of the closure at 6.20pm.
The road was understood to have been closed for over an hour as the local authority revealed it was reopened at 7.40pm.
No further details were given other than it was a 'police incident' in the area.
Emergency services attended and drivers were being urged to avoid the scene.
Police Scotland has been contacted for more information.
