A person was hit by a train on a busy Glasgow railway line last night.
National Rail revealed the incident took place between Edinburgh, Stirling, and Glasgow Queen Street on Tuesday, December 3.
In a statement at around 7.28pm, the travel firm said: "A person has been hit by a train between Edinburgh/Stirling, and Glasgow Queen Street.
"Whilst emergency services carry out their work, some lines between these stations are closed."

Meanwhile, ScotRail said 999 crews were dealing with the incident and services via Lenzie and Larbert were cancelled.
The condition of the person struck by the train is currently unknown, however, we have contacted the British Transport Police for comment.
Shortly after 8pm, the rail firm said the line had reopened.

In a X post at around 6.25pm on Tuesday evening, ScotRail said: "Due to emergency services dealing with an incident, services via Lenzie and Larbert will be subject to cancellation at this time."
