The Good Food Guide has revealed several Scottish restaurants it named as among the best in the UK for 2023.
The Good Food Guide has looked at some of the top local eateries across the country with one being named the best in Scotland.
Of the 100 restaurants listed, 15 from all across Scotland were named, showcasing the range of culinary talent on offer.
Fife's The Kinneuchar Inn named the best local restaurant in Scotland
The Kinneuchar Inn in Fife was named the best local restaurant in Scotland by The Good Food Guide for 2023 with the eatery being described as a "genuine dining pub".
The spot is known for serving up "eclectic dishes" based on East Neuk's seasonal larder.
Users on Tripadvisor also agreed, rating the pub a 4/5.
One user said of their time here: "Stunning surroundings, excellent staff and marvellous food. We chose to dine inside and have our coffee outside. Food was beautifully presented."
Scottish restaurants named among the best local eateries in the UK by The Good Food Guide
A number of other 'local' restaurants were also named among the best in the UK with The Loveable Rouge in Glasgow being among those on the list.
The restaurant was praised for its "informal" setting while offering "creative and good value food".
Tripadvisor visitors agreed with one saying: "Food was absolutely fantastic. Could not fault a single dish. Excellent value for money. Could not recommend the hummus or the rum baba cocktail highly enough."
The Dory Bistro was also named among the 100 best in the UK with the Fife eatery being talked up for its selection of seafood readily sourced from local fishing villages and hamlets on the East Neuk coastline.
The eatery was given a 4.5/5 on Tripadvisor with one visitor saying: "Locally sourced food, beautifully prepared and served with a smile. Great choice of soft drinks, cocktails, wines and beers."
