THREE Scottish hotels have been named among the best in Britain at The Good Hotel Guide's 2025 César awards.
Hotels from across the UK were named by the guide with spots like The Traddock in Yorkshire and Tŷ Mawr in Carmarthenshire making the cut.
Now in its 48th year, The Good Hotel Guide describes itself as the "only truly independent hotel guide" in the country.

Best for Dogs - Forss House, Caithness
Forss House is said to be hidden amongst 20 acres of "stunning" woodlands and is a short distance from the "gently meandering" River Forss.
The guide claims that the hotel "is a dream for dogs, as well as their owners," adding that "besides its excellent AA Two Rosette restaurant, its amazing location is very much its appeal!"
Best Restaurant with Rooms – Mingary Castle, Highlands
The guide says the "beautiful" Ardnamurchan Estate, on the west coast of Scotland, is the setting for the 13th-century Mingary Castle.
It adds that the hotel's fine dining facilities and its ever-changing menu showcase chef-patron, Colin Nicholson’s talent for working with fantastic Highlands produce.
Mingary Castle received great reviews from visitors on Tripadvisor with users giving it a 5/5 out of 181 reviews.
One person wrote: "This isn't just a hotel, it is an experience. Very much the 'wow' factor. The location is exceptional, unbeatable, I'd say for the UK."

Best B&B – The Loch Gorm House, Hebrides
The Loch Gorm House is a five-star B&B guesthouse located on the beautiful Isle of Islay and is said to be "a wonderful place to enjoy the solitude and stunning natural beauty of the Hebrides."
The B&B was also well-reviewed on Tripadvisor with users giving it a 5/5 out of 132 reviews. One visitor said: "Loch Gorm House made our stay on Islay all that more comfortable. Our room looked out over the Loch and garden. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was really, really nice!"
