The Duke of Cambridge has received a hongi, a traditional Maori greeting, from New Zealand’s prime minister on arrival in Auckland.
William performed the symbolic pressing of noses with Jacinda Ardern as the pair took part in an Anzac Day service at the city’s war memorial on Thursday.
The intimate gesture has been shared by royals down the years.
