1 THIRD LANARK: One of Scotland's most successful clubs, it was declared bankrupt in 1967 and liquidated.
2 GRETNA: In the SFL from 2002, rose quickly through the leagues but was forced to resign six years later.
3 RENTON: Were 'Champions of the World' in 1888. Went bust 10 years later.
4 CLYDEBANK: In the League from 1966 to 2002. Financial difficulties forced a buy-out by Airdrie.
5 COWLAIRS: Founded in Springburn in 1876, it closed down 20 years later.
6 CAMBUSLANG: Founding members of the Scottish League but lasted only two seasons.
7 ABERCORN: Paisley club was 15 years in the league but could not compete with St Mirren.
8 DUMBARTON HARP: Founded by Catholic immigrants. Closed in 1925 after 31 years in league.
9 ST BERNARD'S: Declared bankrupt in 1943 after almost 70 years in the league.
10 BATHGATE: In the senior league for seven years in the 1920s but resigned due to demise of mining.
