DANIEL CANDEIAS insists Rangers are ready for whatever FK Shkupi throw at them in their Europa League qualifier tonight.
Steven Gerrard’s side take a 2-0 lead into the second leg in Macedonia after goals from Jamie Murphy and James Tavernier clinched an Ibrox win last week.
The Light Blues fell at the first hurdle against Progres Niederkorn last term but Candeias believes they are well equipped to move onto the next stage this time around.

He said: “For 90 minutes, it is impossible [to play a pressing game].
“Of course, we want to start strong but it is impossible to press for 90 minutes. Of course you go there for the winner.
“I think it will be more long balls, playing to win the second ball. But we are prepared for that.
“The team is always prepared for whatever. When you play for Rangers, you just think ‘winner’.
“It (Gerrard’s experience) is very important. He was a great player. Now he is important for what the players want.
“I think [we are better prepared than a year ago]. It was a hard pre-season. That was important because the season is long.
“I think the team is much better but we will improve more when we play more games. Now is just the start.

“It is only the second game but I think the team is much better. We are fitter and stronger. Training is hard. It is like the pre-season when it was important to work.
“Now it is important to win this game. After that, you think about other qualification games.”
Boss Gerrard was satisfied with the performance and result from his side on Thursday night as he marked his competitive bow with a win.
The 38-year-old urged the survivors of that night in Luxembourg to make amends for their Euro humiliation as they look to clinch a second round spot.
But Candeias is only focusing on the job in hand as the Gers prepare for the return leg at the Arena Philip II.
He said: “I think [the experience of last year will help us]. I work every week to be good. When you wear the Rangers jersey, you give two hundred per cent.
“Now it is in our heads to win this game. Last year is in the past. Now we are focusing on this game. We always respect the opponents but with Rangers, what you want is to win.

“We know the team needs to improve but when you play more games the team improves and stays more together.
“He’s a very good coach. Now is the time to take the experience of the gaffer and it is important you play good and win.”
Candeias has stated in the victories over Bury and Shkupi at Ibrox as Gerrard has got off and running with two wins this term.
The winger has been utilised in an unfamiliar central midfield berth as Josh Windass has operated on the right of the Light Blues’ midfield.
It has been a step into the unknown for Candeias but he is happy to play his part wherever he is needed this term.
He said: “No, the gaffer spoke with me about playing in this position. I will play wherever he wants.
“It is important for me to play in various positions. What is important is the team. And when you give 100 per cent for the team, you play wherever.”
