RANGERS striker Eduardo Herrera has returned to Mexico and joined Santos Laguna.
The 29-year-old moved to Ibrox last summer as he and countryman Carlos Pena signed for boss Pedro Caixinha.
But the pair endured a nightmare campaign in Scotland and Pena was allowed to leave on a loan deal in January.
Herrera remained until the end of the season but a run-out in the win over Ayr in February proved to be his final appearance for the Gers.
Santos Tweeted: “We announce the arrival of a #LaloHerrera15 temporary to the Santist Squadron. Welcome, Lalo! You know well how to defend these colors.”
