CELTIC will discover their potential Champions League third qualifying round opponents this morning at a draw ceremony in Nyon.

The Scottish champions comfortably saw off Armenian outfit Alashkert in the opening round to book a two-legged clash with Rosenborg.

Brendan Rodgers' side will face the Norwegians over the next fortnight as they look to take one step closer to the lucrative group stages.

The Hoops are seeded for the draw and should they make it through, there are 11 possible opponents they could face in the penultimate round of qualifying.

Here are all the teams Celtic stand to face if they progress past Rosenborg, with the matches to be played over 7/8 and 14 August. 

  • AEK Athens
  • Winners of BATE Borisov v HJK Helsinki
  • Winners of Dinamo Zagreb v Hapoel Be'er Sheva
  • Winners of Shkendija v Sheriff
  • Winners of CFR Cluj v Malmo
  • Winners of Crvena zvezda v Suduva

Rules of the draw

  • The six sides boasting the best UEFA coefficients have been seeded (the second qualifying round winners take the coefficient of the seeded team from those ties).
  • Balls containing the seeded clubs are put into one bowl, with balls for the unseeded sides positioned in another. A ball is taken from each bowl and placed in a large empty bowl in the middle, where they are shuffled. The first team drawn plays the first match at home, against the second one drawn.
  • Clubs defeated in this round transfer to the UEFA Europa League champions path play-offs.
