KYLE Lafferty got 19 goals for Hearts last season, which is a really good return for a side that finished fifth in the Premiership.
So I have no doubt that he could be a really important player for Rangers if a deal is done to take him back to Ibrox this summer.
Steven Gerrard wants to add another striker to his squad but the £200,000 bid for Lafferty was rejected by Hearts last week.
I think Kyle could certainly do a job for Rangers and become an important part of the squad if he gets the chance to go back.
He is obviously big and strong given his size but he can score key goals and he has been at the club before, which is massive, and he knows the expectations there. Plus, he is a Rangers fan.
So I think it is a deal that ticks all the boxes and having Lafferty there could help Alfredo Morelos progress as well if the manager chooses to go two up at times.
He is a proven striker, he is still an international player, and he knows what it takes to be successful at Rangers from his first spell there.

They say that you should never go back in football but I don’t believe in that. That is a mentality thing and it doesn’t mean anything to me.
Kyle is a strong character so going back to Rangers wouldn’t faze him and I would have no fear about him signing for the club again.
I don’t see it as a gamble whatsoever, but we will have to wait and see whether Rangers and Hearts can strike a deal to make it happen this summer.
