GORDON: One particularly hairy moment when he seemed to spill a shot after being caught blindsided as Hendry ducked out of the way. Important, acrobatic save from a Marius Lundemo header just as the game headed to the interval and another decent stop from Jonathan Levi in the second period. Would have been relieved to take an elbow in the face from Bendtner which meant a late goal didn't count. (7)

GAMBOA: One really good early intervention as Rosenborg went on the break in the early stages but struggled as the game went on. One moment in the opening half when his headed clearance came off Hendry only for Celtic to clear the danger at the last minute. One good cross into the box that almost resulted in a crucial away goal. Swapped sides as Tierney went off in the latter stages of the game. (5)

HENDRY: In the midst of a scare when he stuck out a leg in the opening minutes and had Rosenborg shouting for a penalty midway through the first period. Difficult night for the young defender but had a couple of vital bad post clearances in the second period. (6)

AJER: A busy night for the youngster. Kept on edge as Rosenborg searched for a way back into the tie but will feel that he came through the test. Booked in the late stages which means he is just one more yellow away from a suspension. (7)

TIERNEY: Left trailing in Jonathan Levi’s wake at one stage in the second period. Took a hefty kick from the Rosenborg player who went into the book for the challenge. Went off after he appeared to take a knock as the game drew to a close. (6)

MCGREGOR: Linked well with Edouard at one point just after the break when he combined with the Frenchman but another who found it difficult to impose himself on the game. (6)

BROWN: Had been a bit of chat on social media that the midfielder would fail to make the game. Started but seemed off the pace as Rosenborg controlled the game, particularly in the early stages. Uncharacteristically conceded possession on a couple of occasions. (6)

NTCHAM: Almost knocked out by Scott Sinclair when the duo clashed heads. Had one effort deflected in the second period but a tough shift for him as the impressive Mike Jensen took control in the middle of the park. (6)

FORREST: Difficult night for the winger. Replaced after an hour as Celtic looked to see out the tie. (6)

SINCLAIR: Kept his place in the starting line-up as Brendan Rodgers kept faith with the same starting XI that beat Rosenborg at Celtic Park last week. A nervy performance from the winger who struggled to impose himself but almost came close to nabbing an away goal in the second period. (7)

EDOUARD: Isolated at times, particularly in the opening period, when Celtic seemed to find themselves camped in their own half. Dropped deep on a couple of occasions in order to try and get more involved. Burst into life just after the break with an impressive run before curling an one effort just wide. (6)

ROGIC: Came on for Forrest on the hour mark but little chance to make his mark. (4)

CHRISTIE: Replaced Edouard with 20-minutes to go as Celtic looked for his pace and energy to take some pressure off. (3)

LUSTIG: First appearance of the season as he took over from Tierney as Celtic looked to see the game out. (3)
