RANGERS have received an injury boost with the news that Ryan Jack has avoided a long-term lay-off following a challenge from Stevie May on Sunday.
But the midfielder appears set to miss the Europa League third qualifying round clash with Maribor this week as he recovers from a head knock.
Jack was forced off with eight minutes remaining of the Premiership draw at Pittodrie after being caught by an elbow in a robust challenge by Dons striker May.
The 26-year-old received treatment on the park and left Pittodrie in an ambulance but has now been given the all-clear after suffering a concussion.
Boss Steven Gerrard was full of praise for Jack’s performance in the Euro clash with Osijek last week but he could have to do without the midfielder against Maribor on Thursday.
