STEVEN GERRARD is confident Alfredo Morelos will learn from the red card controversy against Aberdeen.
The striker was sent off for flicking out at Scott McKenna after 12 minutes of Sunday’s 1-1 draw.
But the SFA have overturned the decision and he is free to face St Mirren.
Gerrard said: “That’s the challenge - we don’t want to take anything away from his game.
“He’s very young and I’ve been there myself when you have to channel that fighting spirit in the right way.
“I sort of take it as a compliment that defenders target you.
“He’ll learn and we had a good, clear conversation [on Tuesday]. We had confidence that we could get the card overturned and we are glad they have done that for us.”
