CONNOR GOLDSON reckons Rangers' team spirit could be the key to their success in the coming months.
The defender is one of a dozen new faces in the Ibrox squad this summer after making a £3million move from Brighton.
Goldson has immediately become an integral part of Steven Gerrard's side this term.
He will line up alongside Nikola Katic as the Gers face Ufa in the Europa League play-off round this evening.
And Goldson is pleased to see the camaraderie in the camp at this early stage.
He said: “It’s massive. Team spirit is huge at any football club.
"We’ve seen where team spirit can take teams, like Leicester City winning the Premier League.
"They had good players in that team, of course, but team spirit can be the making or breaking of a successful team.
“We are slowly getting that here. The wins and the way we are playing are helping. It brings you together and makes you enjoy your football.
“If we can carry on bringing that confidence into the team, then we will have a good season.
“There are a lot of new players in the building and a new group of staff. We are all getting used to each other and the way we want to play.
"Winning games of football will always make us stronger.
“It makes for a happy environment and that’s where we want to be.
"So every game we go into, we need to give 100 per cent to win it.
"It’s been quite natural. Winning games has been the main thing.
"From pre-season, we set our stall out that we wanted to get a winning mentality back in the football club.
“The gaffer has shown us a few times that some of the games Rangers lost last year were not acceptable, home games that we don’t want to lose this year. If we want to have a good season and push on as a club we have to win those kind of games.”
