GORDON: Had to be sharp to get down to his right and clear a Mikael Miller effort just 30 seconds into the game. Keen to offer Boyata his congratulations after the defender had found the net. (6)
LUSTIG: Still struggling to find his best form. Got up to head the ball across the face of goal before Boyata netted. (6)
BOYATA: The talking point before the game as he was handed a starting jersey despite the controversy of the last few weeks. A few jeers as the teamlines were read out but there was no escaping the feelings of the Green Brigade who unfurled a banner which read ‘Boyata – not fit to wear the jersey.’ Inevitable that he would then go on to get the only goal of the game. (7)
AJER: Just 30 seconds on the clock when the Norwegian defender was forced to make a timely intervention as Mikel Miller threatened to shock the hosts with an early goal. More relaxed with an experienced player alongside him. (7)
TIERNEY: Came in for some rough treatment from the Accies players but in terms of the game itself he put in his usual shift up and down the flank. A couple of crosses into the box that proved troubling to the Accies defence. (7)
FORREST: First-half effort that he curled off the post and another effort that was deflected wide of the target. Replaced in the second period. (6)
ROGIC: Looked most likely to make something out of nothing in the opening period as Hamilton sat in. Couple of long range efforts but also teed up Forrest on a couple of occasions. Replaced by Olivier Ntcham midway through the second period. (6)
BROWN: Usual shift from the Celtic captain who marshalled the central areas. Another one who was kick to offer his hand to Boyata when the goal went in. (6)
MCGREGOR: Couldn’t be faulted for industry but frustrating at times for the midfielder against a stodgy and busy Accies midfield. (6)
GRIFFITHS: Still searching for that elusive 100th goal. Provided the corner that led to the opener but not entirely comfortable playing in tandem with Dembele. (6)
DEMBELE: Clipped the crossbar with a long range effort just on the halftime whistle. Missed from close range with a header at the back post. Desperate to get on the scoresheet and almost got it with one cameo run late in the game. (7)
NTCHAM: Arrived midway through the second period as Rodgers changed things around. (5)
JOHNSTON: On at the same time as Ntcham and a couple of decent runs but no chance to do much. (5)
CHRISTIE: On for the latter stages of the game as Celtic went in search of a second goal. (4)
