ALL credit to Dedryck Boyata. Everyone had rightly been questioning whether he would ever play for Celtic again, and the welcome mat wasn’t exactly rolled out for him upon his return to the side.
But you can’t fault his performance against Rangers. He was hugely impressive.
He showed real mental strength, particularly on the back of seeing Moussa Dembele leave when he might have thought he was for the off as well.
There was rightfully an outcry about his behaviour during the summer in my opinion, but you can’t deny that in the last couple of weeks he has buckled down and he is playing well.
The banner that the fans held up for him was understandable, but he has answered it by showing a level of professionalism that had deserted him during the whole fiasco around the game in Athens.
