Craig Gordon
Had nothing to do bar a few passes to his defenders in front of him. But he will be busier as this competition goes on. Nothing is surer. 6
Mikael Lustig
Might just have got away with a penalty early on – to be fair it would have been hugely harsh - and was kept busy by Rosenborg who were strong down his wing. But the Swede is not the player he once was. 5
Dedryck Boyata
The low point came in the first-half when, having given away possession, he fell over as he got back trying to recover the situation. That aside, he was sold enough and his header led to the goal. 6
Filip Benkovic
Came close-ish to a goal with a header on 21 minutes and actually looked okay. He is clearly a natural defender, won plenty of high balls, and put in a great tackle on Yann-Erik De Lanlay when he was almost through. 7
Kieran Tierney
Superb from start to finish. His pace was too much for Rosenborg, his passing McStay-ess and the left-back’s crossing deserved so much more. Solid at the back as well. Even went close to a goal with a long-range effort. Different class. 9
Terrific. Again. The captain wouldn’t care if it was the Europa League or Soccer Sixes, his attitude is spot-on every time. Read most situations with perfection and always available to take a pass. What would Celtic do without him? 8
Olivier Ntcham
Gave away possession four times, probably more, when under little pressure and that’s not good enough. There were moments of really good play, mixed in with some dreadful mistakes. He’s having an odd season. 5
James Forrest
Put in a selfless shift down the right – he always got back when need be – and kept possession. But wasn’t given much space to create and was off before the hour. 5
Tom Rogic
Started slowly but got into things after a while. Goalkeeper Andre Hansen’s superb save denied him a goal late in the first-half and then missed when clean through on 49 minutes. Subbed on 57 minutes. 6
Callum McGregor
Was better when moved into the central midfield, which is his position, and while not at his best could at least say he always went looking for the ball. Some good runs where not picked out and went close with a late shot from outside the box. 6
Odsonne Edouard
Not a great night it must be said. Too many times the Frenchman isn’t there to meet a good delivery into the box and that’s where he needs to be. Denied a goal by some excellent goalkeeping just before the break but looked a bit lost. 4
Substitutes
Scott Sinclair
A great scissor kick almost brought a goal, it was close to being his first touch, but yet again he struggled to even beat a man. 4
Michael Johnston
Brought a bit of pace to his team and an early cross set-up Sinclair’s chance. Almost scored and could be happy. 6
Leigh Griffiths
Was put on after 73 minutes, got one chance, a difficult one, and took it to win the game. Brendan Rodgers really has a job convincing the supporters Edouard is a better option as a striker. 8
Substitutes not used: Bain, Hendry, Christie, Mulumbu
