I WAS always a fan of Kristoffer Ajer who had his best game for Celtic on Sunday.
He took a really sore one in the face in the first-half and, take it from a man who knows, getting a boot right there is not nice.
Ajer got up, shrugged off the pain and went on to play a massive role in the win.
I like the way he plays out from the back. He reads the game a lot better and has improved in the air.
It was good to see him taking on more responsibility when Celtic went down to ten after Dedryck Boyata went off.
And his tackle on Joe Worrall with seconds to go was quite magnificent. From where I was sitting it was a tap-in for the Rangers man.

To react so quickly, to realise the danger, after 90 minutes of punishing football says a lot for the young man.
Ajer is now Celtic’s No defender. Boyata will go, Filipe Benkovic will return to Leicester City and Jozo Simunovic has slid down the pecking order.
Ajer came in for a bit of stick earlier in the season, but he’s been great since the winter break. I’m delighted for him.
James Forrest is another who doesn’t get as much praise as he should. Wee Jamsie has been an outstanding Celtic player for years now. His finish on Sunday, with so little time left and so much riding on it, was the action of a class footballer.
And now Celtic can win the league this Saturday if Rangers lose to Hearts, providing we beat St Mirren which I think we’ll do. Eight in a row could be just a few days away for the football club.
