The Hoops medic is currently in his second spell at the club having left for Birmingham City back in 2007.

He returned three years later but is now being targeted by United boss Ole Gunnar Solksjaer as the Red Devils seek to improve their sports science and medical department, according to the Daily Mail.

Williamson also counts Tottenham and Leeds among his former teams.

Williamson has had his hands full at Parkhead and Lennoxtown in recent weeks with various players pulling up with injuries.
