Jonny Hayes has hailed Celtic's Fraser Forster as the best in the country after his Hampden heroics yesterday.
The Irishman watched his teammate produce one of the best individual performances in recent memory to help seal the Betfred Cup with a win over rivals Rangers.
Numerous magnificent saves from the goalkeeper kept the Hoops in the game despite Rangers' domination - including a penalty save from Alfredo Morelos.
And Hayes heaped praise on the stopper for his display, thanking him for bailing out the Celts for not playing near their best.
"Did we deserve to win? Probably not, no," Hayes told BT Sport at full-time.
"We didn't play well at all and the first-half we were probably lucky going in at 0-0.
"We just didn't really show up and show ourselves in the best light. But cup finals are about winning and picking up the trophy and we've done that.
"Big Fraser was unbelievable today, he saves the penalty which we probably expect him to do anyway and, after that, we were confident we'd win.
"There were a few big saves from Ryan Jack and Morelos.
"The big man is a man mountain, the best goalkeeper in the country, which is harsh saying that on Craigy [Gordon] and Scott [Bain], but he's unbelievable."
