I have been privileged to help out the Rangers Youth Development Company over the last couple of years and it was great to see them hand over another £450,000 to the Academy earlier this week.
Around £1.3million has been raised in the last four seasons and Colin Stewart deserves so much credit for his work on behalf of Rangers. He does a really good job, works very hard and is very good at what he does alongside his team.
If you look at the success of the youth sides in recent times, and we have seen Nathan Patterson and Kai Kennedy make their debuts against Stranraer, it is clear that the money RYDC raises is having a really positive impact.
The supporters have bought into initiatives like the Rangers Pools and Lotto and they can make a real difference for just a couple of quid a week.
We know how important the Academy is for Rangers and we all love seeing players come through. This money makes that dream a reality at Ibrox.
