Alfredo Morelos has proven himself to be a top marksman at Rangers. Brazil legend Cesar Sampaio insists he can be just as important for Colombia in their upcoming Copa America and World Cup qualifiers.
El Buffalo has scored 28 goals in 35 games in all competitions this season, including his maiden Colombia strike against Peru in a friendly.
Sampaio currently works as Brazil assistant manager alongside Tite and recently watched Morelos score against Peru as he scouted upcoming opponents for the national side.

And he believes the Rangers star can blast his way onto the scene to rival his main striker competition - Atalanta's Duvan Zapata. "I know Morelos," Sampaio said. "We analysed some teams recently who we will face in Bolivia and Peru. Morelos scored the goal in a 1-0 win for Colombia.
"He's a strong, fast player who is very good in the area. He's a good finisher and is a similar type of player to Zapata, who is the other striker in the Colombian national team.
"Morelos has been a huge success at Rangers and is a very dangerous striker. He's not technically bad and he protects the ball very well. Colombia has Falcao and Zapata who will be Morelos' direct competition for a place in the team. He will have to overcome those two.
"I think the 2022 qualifiers are a great opportunity for him to show his potential and he still has Copa America in July to do so. But he is a player who has virtues and he needs to turn those skills into goals. Strikers are judged on goals."
