GORAN STANIC wouldn’t rule out a future St Johnstone return.
But for now the former McDiarmid Park hero is happy helping Macedonia flourish at youth level.
Stanic clocked up over 120 games for Saints after he signed for the club in 2005 and he now shares his valuable playing experience in his role as head coach of Macedonia's under 19s.
The 47-year-old spent three seasons in Perth and starred as St Johnstone won the Challenge Cup and made numerous cup semi-final appearances.
And his successful spell in Scotland holds memories that he will cherish forever.
Speaking to Herald and Times Sport, he said: “St. Johnstone is in my heart and always will be. It is a great club with great people working there.
“I have followed them since I left, but I didn't register any interest in the vacant managerial position. Maybe in the future, who knows.
“I'm sure that the Brown family will make the right decision like they always do.
“I have a contract with the Macedonian FA and I was working for the last five years as a head coach in youth categories, from U16s to U19s and I'm really enjoying it.
“At the moment I'm with U19s, we have had a successful season, qualified for the elite round and now we are waiting for dates when it will be possible to play the tournament which will hopefully end in qualification for the U19s European Championship."
