Liam Burt will leave Celtic for a second time at the end of his current contract - with several English Championship clubs monitoring the player's situation.
The 21-year-old departed Parkhead as a youngster only to sign for rivals Rangers. However in an unusual twist of fate, Burt would return to Celtic after being released by Gers.
Now, though, it is apparent his future will lie away from Celtic Park with a number of clubs south of the border considering a move for the attacker. Burt is believed to still have a lot of fans within the Parkhead coaching staff but has found it difficult to break into the first-team with the likes of Callum McGregor, Ryan Christie and Tom Rogic ahead of him.
Burt has been having fun on social media after news emerged that he would not be re-signing at Parkhead. Some Rangers supporters have shared some light-hearted banter with the youngster while others have sent some more serious abuse.
But Burt has never shied away and has often provided witty retorts. In one image, Burt cast doubt on his departure with a photo from the gates outside Lennoxtown appearing to show him returning to training with the rest of the players.
He will, however, leave Celtic on June 30 on the expiry of his deal.
