RANGERS could discover today the extent of the injury that forced Leon Balogun off during the win over St Johnstone at Ibrox.
The defender did not appear for the second half of the 3-0 victory as he was replaced by Filip Helander at the break.
Balogun has been an impressive performer for the Gers since making the move from Wigan last month and boss Steven Gerrard said: “I think Balogun has a tight quad and we’ll get that looked at in [on Thursday] morning. He is definitely a concern for the weekend but we have real strong options in that area. Fil came on and played like an international player with experience.
“Hopefully it’s not a bad one. Leon walked past me earlier so I don’t think it’s anything major.”
