Rangers could swoop for Sheffield United midfielder John Lundstram on a free as early as January.
The Premier League player is reportedly on Steven Gerrard's wishlist and, with his contract up next year, he would be available to talk with other clubs over a potential free transfer at the turn of the year.
Gers have been in the market for a new midfield player recently and pulled the plug on South African Bongani Zungu. But Lundstram is a different type of player, already tried and tested at top level.
The 26-year-old has spent the last three seasons with the Blades and played 34 Premier League games for Chris Wilder’s side last season alone.
Wilder has spoken about Englishman Lundstram in the past, insisting he'd be delighted to see the player sign a new deal at Bramall Lane.
