Rangers-linked Jack Wilshere is weighing up a move to the MLS after leaving West Ham this summer.
The England midfielder has been rumoured to be considering a potential switch to the USA to play his football after his £100,000 per week deal in the Premier League was cut short.
Gers boss Steven Gerrard has reportedly sounded out Wilshere as a possible target but it is not believed there has been any contact at this stage. Now it may become even more difficult for the Light Blues to sign the 28-year-old with MLS sides already believed to have spoken with the player and his representatives.
Wilshere himself recently revealed he was leaning towards America or Serie A in Italy as he wanted to try something new in his career. Injury has seriously hampered his playing time for a number of seasons.
We told how the player recently stepped up his training in a bid to land a new club. He also posted a cryptic message insisting it was only a matter of time before he joined some other team.
Ex-Barcelona superstar Xavi even weighed in on the speculation, believing Wilshere would be the best player in Scotland should he join up at Ibrox.
