RANGERS midfielder Ianis Hagi has missed out on a place in the Romania squad for their upcoming fixtures with Norway, Northern Ireland and Belarus.
Hagi will instead turn out for the Under-21 side that are managed by Adrian Mutu as they look to clinch a place at the European Championships next summer.
The 21s will face Denmark next Tuesday and Hagi has moved back down a level for the crucial qualifier after being named in the 23-man squad.
Mirel Rădoi’s national side take on Belarus in a friendly on November 11 before Nations League matches at home to Norway and away to Northern Ireland.
